- Make a plan and set goals: Determine what you need to prepare for and what supplies and resources you will need. This may include food, water, shelter, medicine, and protection.
- Start building your emergency supplies: Begin by stocking up on non-perishable food, water, and essential household items.
- Get organized: Make a list of what you have and what you need, and prioritize your purchases. Store items in a safe and accessible location.
- Learn new skills: Consider learning skills like first aid, self-defence, and food preservation to increase your overall preparedness.
- Stay informed: Keep up-to-date on current events and potential threats in your area, and adjust your plan as needed.
- Test and review your plan regularly: Regularly review your plan and supplies, and test them in simulated scenarios to ensure they will work when needed.
